Time on my hands
top three shelves |
two down |
six and seven |
bottom eight |
I just adore their rickety splendor. We were given them by a fellow called Dick from freecycle.. His father ( who designed the Aeroplane safety shoot) made them in the 1930s, and they'd since been traveling here there and everywhere, when Dick moved to Camberwell they didn't fit in his new home and so he kindly offered them up! They are now one of my favourite pieces.

Anchors have always inspired me... I'm very much drawn to them. I have a urge to sew more in the next coming months. A perfect love token for valentines.

Fawn issues
I'm having fawn issues... these little lovelies take over a day to sew up, and thats just the little ones in felt! Let along any of the other sizes I do or the leather ones. Taking home just £35.00 for one of the wee felt ones isn't enough for a daily wage... with that and the fact I don't charge for materials yet, I am going to have to charge just that little bit more. £42.00... not that much more, I'm still cheap for a days wage, but it'll make me that little bit more happier. I do so very much hope you'll understand.

More trinkets... the naked lady used to belong to my grandmother who kept it in a locked glass cabinet, I remember every time we popped up to visit her I would gaze at it happily for hours. Her features are just wonderful.

Rita Mae
My latest lady
Rita Mae stands at 21 inches in height
Has a light wire frame body to give some structure & bend
A rayon 1930s hanky makes up her blouse with hidden poppers down the front. Her jeans were made out of a pair of jeans kindly donated by my other half' & also have hidden poppers down the back seam. Red wool, hessian and leather make up her wedges...and a red felt handbag completes her look.
Of course no outfit is complete without underwear...
